Milton Keynes Marathon 2017 · 1 May 2017 ·

The DFSG helps families affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a muscle-wasting condition mainly affecting boys. The condition results in decreasing mobility and muscle strength with limited life expectancy (usually to mid-20s). We provide a helpline, support, and organise social events.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm taking part in the Milton Keynes Marathon on 1st May 2017 and I will be  fund raising for Duchenne Family Support Group. Any donations made will be massively appreciated and thank you for supporting a great cause.

The DFSG is a national charity run by families for families affected by DMD. It provides a positive national support network of parents, their families and professionals.

The DFSG helps bring families together for mutual support, sharing of information and experience, and social activities.

I'm also running in memory of my friend Adam Yuill. We met at college and quickly became friends. He never let Duchenne define him or hold him back, he played wheelchair football, jumped out of a plane and had an expensive taste in vodka. Sadly Adam passed away in 2015 at the age of 21. Thank you for everything mate, we miss you.

Thank you for reading
