Manchester Marathon 2022 · 3 April 2022 ·

Trinity Hospice and Brian House Children's Hospice provide specialist palliative care to adults and children across the Fylde Coast and much needed support for their families. Our services are available free of charge, but with limited government funding we need to raise over £10 million every year.

Story

On 10th August 2021 we had to say goodbye to my brother Andrew, he passed away in North Tees hospital due to Covid-19. It was the most heartbreaking experience to lose my brother who was a young, healthy family man in this sudden way. There aren't sufficient words to articulate the deep sense of loss that our family are feeling.

Whilst we come to terms with the everyday griefs it's been important to me to have a way to memorialize Andrew and honor his charitable and giving.

Andrew’s daughters Niamh and Aisling helped choose the charity we were looking to support and their selflessness ensured they chose a charity that would look after other children. A true testament to their dad’s character and personality.

On the 3rd April I will be running (or walking!) the Manchester Marathon. Later that month, we will also embark on another fundraising event, where myself and Sanj will travel on foot from Middlesbrough, to Blackpool, on a 130 mile hike spread across 4 days.
