Story

Thank you SO much to everyone that has already donated- I am so happy to have already reached an amazing £2500.

I'm not going to stop though... I'm determined to keep going! So, please read my story below and help me to smash my target even more! Any donation, big or small, goes a long way and makes a massive difference to families just like mine.

Firstly, a HUGE thank you for visiting my Just Giving page, and if the below encourages you to donate, I massively appreciate it. If it doesn’t quite make your mind up, maybe the fact that I’ll be running 26 MILES might…

I’m running for one of the biggest inspirations in my life- my incredible little sister Anna- for everything she’s been through over the past 5 years, and to give something back to an amazing charity that’s provided the support needed to help her and my family along the way- Beat.

Anna was first diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa in December 2013 and she has been battling ever since. She’s the most beautiful and bubbly girl I know and to watch her suffer with an illness that tells her completely the opposite is heart-breaking.

Ed (as it’s nicknamed) doesn’t just affect the person suffering- it affects the whole family on a daily basis- and it’s the toughest thing to witness, and the most awful thing to be a part of. To watch your beautiful little sister go through the pain and torment that Anna has to deal with is devastating. Thankfully she’s now through the worst, but as she fully admits- it’s not quite over yet, and she’s still fighting.

I want to show her how immensely proud I am of her, and along with her help, attempt to raise awareness of such a cruel illness.

Beat are the UK’s Eating Disorder charity and they give sufferers, and their loved ones, the support they need to fight the illness. I want to thank them for the services and support that they provide, because without them, Anna wouldn’t be in the place she is today. Myself and my family will be forever grateful.

So this is for you Anna- keep fighting, keep being as strong as you are- because I’m the proudest big brother in the world. One day we’ll run together, but for now I can’t wait to have you as a supporter- because it’s seeing you there that will keep me pushing on.

I can’t fight Ed by myself- but I’m determined to try- which is why I please ask you to donate as much as you can, and join me in helping to make a difference.

THANK YOU!
X

PS. I’m going to need as much support as I can get on the day, so please come along if you’re able to! I've got 26 miles to get through... AWFUL
