Story
In the last week of July, I will be hiking the 100-mile Three Choirs Way: a trail loop passing the cathedrals of Gloucester, Hereford, and Worcester. I’m doing this to raise money for One Equal Music, a project seeking to widen access to musical opportunities throughout the diverse communities of Bristol – young and old, from a range of backgrounds.
One Equal Music is built upon four building blocks: music to foster community, music to improve wellbeing, music to raise confidence, and music to encourage and give voice to talent. This will be achieved through a variety of means, from running Singing for the Brain groups for people with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, giving Choral Scholarships to talented students looking to share their love of choral music and kickstart a life of music making, and running choral based workshops in local schools.
The Three Choirs Way is going to be a challenging hike, but I’m excited to raise money for this fantastic project. Every donation really does count! Thank you.
