NO woman or child (as young as 4) should be forced to walk up to 5 miles daily to collect enough clean water just to survive. Help us provide millions of ROTARY ROLLER BARRELS and water filters for clean drinking water, instead of carrying jerry cans or buckets. CLEAN SAFE WATER IS THEIR RIGHT!

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please remember to add giftaid! Please also find my blog at http://josh0416.blogspot.co.uk/

My name is Josh Hill, Deputy-Headboy at Medina College. I'm raising money to enable me to go to Nakuru, Kenya to take part in a Community Development Project (April 2014). Over the coming months I will be cycling 250 miles on my bike. The Project is being organised by Medina College and African Adventures.

By sponsoring me you're enabling me to go to Nakuru and make a positive impact on the lives of children at schools and orphanages!

I will be carrying out:

 - Teaching in schools & Orphanages (Age 4-17) to further the children’s education and provide essential support in a classroom with a ratio of 40 children to 1 teacher! Education is paramount for any child wishing to seek a formal job in this era.

- Community work with children to gain a sense of what the community is like in Nakuru and work with children on day-to-day problems.

- Community Building and Renovation on accommodation such as schools and homes and facilities such as wells and long drop pits of which many are in poor state or in need of building.

- Sports Coaching in Football, Rugby & Multi Sports which will educate children in core sporting skills which can be developed over time. Sport promotes good health and can help children to develop fundamental social skills and self-esteem.

In addition to this I will be 'rolling out the barrel' by taking a barrel with me to the community of Nakuru; please add giftaid that will go to roll out the barrel to enable them to keep doing their incredible work!

My Mission Statement:

‘At Medina College our motto is “aspire & achieve”, this in mind, my mission is to encourage children to aspire to a goal...then help and inspire them to achieve their goal, in future years, by providing myself as a volunteer through a Community Development Project. - Get onboard and make the difference!’
