I have set myself a challenge to run my first half marathon in support of Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).

CALM stand together with everyone who’s struggling with life, no matter who they are, where they’re from or what they’re going through with a free helpline and whatsapp messaging service that anyone can contact.

With just over two months to prepare it won't be easy and I imagine it won't be fun, but it will be worthwhile.

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM)

Campaign Against Living Miserably is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male.

CALM exists to change this by offering life saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably. From online guides, through to free, confidential chats with helpline staff, online or on the phone, CALM is always there to help. No matter what.

£16 is enough to fund two potentially life-saving calls.

£51 allows CALM to have 100 potentially life-saving conversations through WhatsApp.

£154 could help CALM provide specialist and topical training to a helpline worker.
