London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·

We brighten the lives of seriously ill young people by granting wishes and providing ongoing support. Our wishes are as unique as the children themselves and whether a child wants to be a fireman, meet a real-life mermaid or even the Loch Ness Monster, we work hard to make that wish come true.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 2nd of October this year I'll be taking part in the London Marathon in aide of Rays Of Sunshine and here's why...

There are 49,000 children and young people living in the UK with a serious or life-limiting illness. This figure is increasing every year.

Rays of Sunshine brightens the lives of seriously ill young people and their families by granting wishes and providing ongoing support within hospitals.

They believe that every child deserves to experience happiness and put their illness on hold – even if it is just for one day.

Their work creates a positive distraction, reduces isolation, improves self-esteem and creates precious memories and smiles.

To date, their work has reached over 80,000 seriously ill children and their families.
