Story
In August of last year my Mom was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer and immediately placed on a programme to undertake the most extensive chemotherapy treatments. Having just weeks before this been given the 10 year remission from her previous Breast cancer.
So i have decided to set up a challenge, in which Myself and 8 friends will be completing in August, for the PCUK Charity and in aid of my Mom (Carol Lane) as well as raising awareness for this tremendous charity..
It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with pancreatic cancer die within 3 months. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
Your support will help massively in aiding those involved with the horrible cancer. £29 could help fund research breakthroughs for people with Pancreatic Cancer, £52 could fund 2 hours with a nurse on a support line.
The Three Peak Challenge involves climbing the highest summits of the three mainland countries of the United Kingdom in 24hrs. We will climb Ben Nevis in Scotland, once done we will make our way to the lake district where we will climb Scafell Pike the highest point in England. Finally once descended from there we will make our way to Mount Snowdon in Wales where we will climb the last peak which will conclude the challenge.
All donations will be going straight to PCUK.
Thanks to anyone who donates.
