Joshua Scott's Eagle Scout Project

Joshua Scott is raising money for Leroy Springs & Company Inc

Eagle Scout Project · 4 August 2020

The Greenway is a popular outdoor venue to hike, practice outdoor skills, volunteer, and learn. Each year, scouts pursuing their highest awards - Eagle Scout or Gold Award - complete projects on the Greenway. This campaign will support their work.

Story

Hi, I am Joshua Scott, a Life Scout in Troop 108. I have been in Scouting since 1st grade. I am currently working towards my Eagle Scout rank. My Eagle Scout Project will consist of building natural benches, a privacy fence, and a 150 ft pathway to the new outdoor learning area at the Adventure Center for children to learn about nature on the Greenway. I would appreciate any donation to my project and thank you for supporting Scouting and the Greenway.

For years, Scouts have enjoyed group outdoor activities on the Greenway. It has been the meeting site for various groups and a popular choice for earning service hours for rank advancement or completing badges through environmental and educational opportunities. Through our projects, Scouts have also provided the Greenway with items, structures that have increased program capacity and enhanced visitor experiences. These have included everything from gardens, benches and equestrian shelters to rock throwing ranges and outdoor classroom improvements. As I start my project, I want to thank you in joining me in offering something new to the Greenway!
