Joshua's shavewave · 30 April 2016

The Joshua Tree support and improve the emotional well-being and mental health of all family members affected by childhood cancer, in the North-West of England and North Wales. We offer support during and post treatment. All our support services are free to the families.

Story

I wanted to do something almost as a thank you for helping me win my own battle with cancer.

I’ve been bald once before during treatment so it seemed appropriate to
do it again but as a fundraiser for The Joshua Tree and have set £1,000 as a target minimum for me to brave the shave.

Instead of just a normal headshave I have decided to call the event a ‘ShaveWave’ as I'm hoping that others will join me in my fundraising challenge by making a £10 donation to the charity at #JOSHFEST.

I want to get lots of people involved with the ‘shavewave’ to show the families who are experiencing childhood cancer that they are not alone and there is help and support for them at this traumatic time.

What are you waiting for? Brave the shave with me at #JOSHFEST and support local families affected by childhood cancer.  Thanks guys, hope to see you at #JOSHFEST at Marbury Park on Saturday 30th April and let's smash the £1,000 target!

Joshua :)
