Guts UK is the charity for the digestive system. Our guts have been underfunded, understaffed & undervalued for decades. Guts UK’s work leads to earlier diagnoses, kinder treatments & ultimately, a cure, through funding research, raising awareness, and providing information.

Story

In June, I will be running the St. Albans Half Marathon to raise money for Guts UK. Those that know me will know that I have developed somewhat of a penchant for running since lockdown begun. That said, the thought of running an organised half marathon is still rather daunting. Alas, I will train hard in preparation for the 13th June, and would love your support in raising as much money for Guts UK as physically possible ahead of that date.

I'll be sharing training updates on here and on my Instagram channel (@jvinelott) - so make sure to stay tuned.

Please give generously and share this JustGiving page with your friends, families, loved ones, girlfriends, boyfriends, nan, neighbours, the local bossman, and everyone in between.

A bit about Guts UK

Guts UK is the only UK charity funding research into the digestive system from top to tail; the gut, liver and pancreas. Since 1971 Guts has funded almost 300 projects and invested nearly £16 million pounds into medical research that leads to better diagnoses and treatments for the millions of people who, like us, don’t have the luxury of taking our guts for granted.

The COVID-19 pandemic has placed a massive strain on charities such as Guts UK, at a time where patients need their support more than ever. It's never been more important to show our support for these charities so they can continue to improve the lives of patients in the UK.
