After a healthy pregnancy, it was a devastating shock to Howard and I when our beautiful Joshua sustained a serious brain injury during labour. It soon became clear that it was the worst news and that we would have to say goodbye. It was thought that he wouldn't live without a ventilator but he had other ideas.

Josh showed his fighting spirit and lived for 5 weeks, 4 of which were without the ventilator. It was much longer than we were told we would have, but a very short time to fill with a lifetime of love. Most of Josh's life was spent at EACH hospice in Milton and we will be forever grateful to the support and care we all received there as a family. They are a very special organisation that supports many families trying to make the best of the worst of times.
