Story
On Sunday 26th April, I will be running a marathon in order to raise money for Animal Aid Unlimited. I am incredibly passionate about the amazing work that they do and as some of you will know, I spent a few weeks last year volunteering with Animal Aid. They rescue injured and sick street dogs, cows and many other animals in Udaipur, India, who are in unimaginable pain and suffering, and give them the urgent medical care, love and compassion that they so desperately need.
In addition, the charity is also a social enterprise, running educational programmes in the local community and providing employment opportunities for people from the local village, and in particular empowering local women through the independence that this employment enables.
There are a few links to some of their rescue videos below which illustrate just how incredible the work they do is.

I had originally been planning to run the London Marathon, but the event was postponed owing to Coronavirus, which I was absolutely devastated about. Since the beginning of this year I have been training every day (even giving up drinking!) as I had wanted to give it everything, and therefore decided that that I would still run a marathon on the day, and although a little less glamorous than the London Marathon and without the medal at the end, it will still be a marathon, in London, on the 26th April, to raise money for Animal Aid.
I would be so grateful for any donations to this truly amazing cause, which will make such a huge impact in supporting the incredible work that Animal Aid does.
Thank you so much ❤️
