We provide hospice care for babies, children and young people living with life-limiting conditions and their families. Hospice stays, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care at 3 children's hospices; Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm in Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall.

Story

As many of you will know, our beautiful little son Sam was born on the 6th January 2011 with Patau's Syndrome. This rare syndrome is incurable and it was amazing that Sam made it as far as he did, life expectency is generally no more than a couple of hours after birth. Sam, however, did wonderfully well and lived for 13 days in palliative care. We were allowed to stay with Sam and this made such a difference to us. Words cannot express what every precious second of those 13 days meant to us, how you treasure every moment knowing that soon there will be no more. The care and attention during this time was amazing, it meant that the hardest and most heartbreaking time in our lives was the best that it could be, and this is why I wanted to run for the Children's Hospice South West. They are there during the hardest time that any parent or child can face, giving the most precious gift that anyone can give, time, and the best that it can be in the circumstances.

So please help me to help them, anything you can give will help so much.

Thank you!
