We're funding vital research into necrotising enterocolitis (NEC), a devastating bowel disorder that mainly strikes premature babies. Each year in the UK, hundreds of babies develop NEC and tragically, up to 35% of these babies do not survive.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My son Josiah lost his fight against Necrotizing enterocolitis on 09/01/2019.

He was born at 27 weeks weighing just 780 grams, he   Became ill 4 weeks after he was born and had to rushed to another hospital where he was diagnosed with Nec. Unfortunately his bowel was  severely damaged beyond repair, and I was left with the most hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life, which was to take him off his breathing machine and hold him until he took his last breath.

Each year in the uk, hundreds of babies develop Nec a devastating bowel disorder that mainly affects premature babies. Sadly upto 35% of these babies die.

I have started this page to raise awareness and donate money to researching the causes and prevention of this condition.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
