Story
As many of you know, my family has experienced more than our fair share of grief over the last 6 months. We have lost all 3 of our grandparents (and parents) somewhat unexpectedly, a whole generation of love has been lost. This grief was shouldered alone, until Marie Curie carers entered our lives to support my nan through her end of life care.
Marie Curie were a big part of our lives for the final few months of my nan, Rosalie's life. Every single carer that passed through her front door made sure that her final few months went by in comfort and surrounded by compassion. My mother, who was caring for her own mother full time, was not forgotten in their compassion every single day.
The impact that Marie Curie had on my nan, and my families lives in those final few weeks and months was extraordinary, and so we as a family have decided to tackle the Welsh Three Peaks in Rosalie's honour, to raise money for those who supported her. Marie Curie need charity support to be able to provide this amazing care to other families who need it, just like ours.
We will all be climbing Pen-y-fan, Cadair Idris & Snowdonia - a total height of around 2800m - in the short time frame of just 30 hours on the 8-9th June.
Thank you for your support and donations, however much you can afford to give. Please share far and wide :)
