We swam on 3rd September and I would like to thank you all for your support and well-wishing. I swam 5 kilometres with no wetsuit, Jessica swam 2.5 k in a bikini, Nic and Rob swam 6 kilometres each and shared a wetsuit between them. It was really fun. 

I will be attempting to swim 4 kilometres on 3rd September. I have been hoping to do a long distance outdoor swim for a while so feel really excited. I will swim in Clevedon Tidal Pool with my friend Nic. He will be swimming 6 kilometres so there is an outside chance I will accompany him all the way but 4k seems quite a stretch already! We are as yet undecided about how macho we will be about wearing wetsuits. 

I am raising money for the Makhad Trust which is a small charity dedicated to enabling nomadic peoples in the Sinai Desert to preserve their way of life and sustain their environment.
