Together (on the same day) we plan to run London Marathon 2018 and at the same time raise lots of money for Diabetes UK. We will be doing lots of fundraising activities over the next 6 month and every penny that we raise will help motivate us through our winter training
plans.

I have given myself the challenge of running London next year and I have chosen to raise money for Diabetes UK. I haven't done much running over the last few years since having babies and I am not only doing this challenge for the charity, but also to prove something to myself. I have done 3 half marathons in the past, and these were a huge challenge for me at the time. A marathon is something that I NEVER thought I would even want to do... and now I am determined to complete London 2018. I hope to get to Ali at the finish before he's on his 4th pint!

** Update April 10th 2018 - My 13 year old niece, Lily, was unfortunately diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes just a few weeks ago. This condition is life changing and has had a massive impact on her day to day life. Raising funds for research into this condition has become even more important to us as a result of her diagnosis **

After joining the Diabetes UK team in 2016 for London Marathon, I met and befriended some absolute legends, who continue to amaze and inspire me by defying the rules that Diabetes tries to set. As a result I want to push harder and faster in 2018 as I don’t have the constant battle of managing my sugars. I am also raising money for MS Society so check out my other page too…
