The Playtex MoonWalk London 2010 · 15 May 2010 ·
I have been deeply saddened and yet amazed by the courage of a very good friend Jo who is fighting for her life. Despite being cursed with Breast Cancer for the second time she is a tireless fundraiser, a loving wife and mother of a beautiful 7 year old little girl.
My mother died from Leukaemia 8 years ago and I must confess I have never felt so passionately about the battle against cancer, both in terms of researching cures and for providing care. I have made donations to several key charities over the last few years. People who know me well, however, will not ever remember me ‘pounding the streets’ for a good cause. I am not a ‘health freak’ and the thought of running or walking a marathon is appalling, yet this is what I intend to do in the hope that others will support my efforts with donations. I will be ‘walking the walk’, the Playtex MoonWalk 2010 that is on 15th May 2010 over 26 miles 385 yards. To add to the difficulty level we walk from midnight onwards
Sadly, one in nine women will develop breast cancer at --some point in their lives. It could be your wife, mother, daughter, grand-daughter or friend.
Please….join me in the fight for women’s survival and help beat cancer. SO DIG DEEP YOU GUYS
