Sometime ago a group of friends and I decided to enter the ballot for the London marathon  knowing these places 'never' come up.  Although I had always had a sneaky little ambition in the back dusty corner of my my mind, I knew I was safe and went along with it.  Imagine my utter horror when I actually got the letter telling me I had a place!  After getting over the shock I thought, ok, this is a lifetime opportunity lets do it. The most I had ever run in one go before was 10 miles and that HURT!!  Training has been hard to say the least but it's taught me a lot about me, and about life - I would never in a million years have thought I could do this. 

I decided to try to raise money for the Forget-Me-Not trust which is a children's hospice in Huddersfield who provide care and support for children with life shortening conditions and their families. This wonderful place needs £3.2 million every year to be able to operate. The work they do here is really very special and it's through support and donations from people like us who help to keep it going.  So please, please help me to raise as much as we possibly can. 

We have 4 weeks to go until London so please, dig deep and give as much as you can.  Every little bit helps no matter how small.  Let's do this!
