Joy's Boys do LEJOG · 12 August 2017

Brain Tumour Support is dedicated to providing support for patients, families and carers so that no one feels alone facing the effects of a brain tumour diagnosis. We provide individualised and specialist information, guidance and emotional support, at any point and for as long as it is needed.

Story

Firstly, thank you for visiting our Joy's Boys page!

In August this year myself, Alan and Scott are taking on the LEJOG cycle challenge (Land's End to John O'Groats) and we are going through the 900 miles of pain across 7 days to raise funds for the Bristol based Brain Tumour Support. As many of you will know my mum, Joy, was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma brain tumour which is an aggressive and high grade tumour, but like the true hero she fought through the treatment and continues her amazing recovery to the point where she will be joining my dad 'Big John' as the support car for our adventure - it could be a very long road trip indeed!

The charity itself does incredible work every day in helping families through the diagnosis, treatment and recovery and is an organisation that means a great deal to the surgeon, David Sandeman, who carried out the surgery for mum. For me this challenge is a tiny way of saying thank you to David and his team.

Thank you in advance for any donations you are able to give for this wonderful charity - and if anyone has any advice on how to lug a 16 stone frame across the UK on 2 wheels then I'm all ears!

Many thanks,

Jamie, Scott & Alan x
