Story

JP Morgan Investment Banking Fundraising Day - Tuesday 5 December

JP Morgan is proud to be a supporter of Kids and its valuable work with disabled children, young people and their families.  To show its support, JP Morgan’s Investment Banking Division will be hosting a special fundraising day on Tuesday 5 December to raise money for Kids, its projects and services.

On this page you will given the opportunity to purchase a gift which will make a huge difference to the life of a disabled child or young person – anything from a football for a Kids playground, a place on a sign language course or a trip to the seaside.

Every time a gift is purchased we will place a decoration on our special Kids Christmas Tree.  By the end of the day we want to see the tree covered in decorations and to have reached our fundraising target of £25,000! Through JPMorgan's Team Engagement Programme and the Senior Management Team of IBC we hope to increase this figure to a fantastic £75,000.

You can show your support by purchasing a gift from the shopping list below and help Kids make a difference to a disabled child’s life. Please donate generously.

£10: Football Focus - will pay for one football for one of Kids seven inclusive adventure playgrounds enabling a child to participate in active play, build their self confidence and encourage social interaction.

£20: Toys and Equipment - will pay for a new bean bag to help support a child who cannot sit, or a toy in one of our sensory rooms.

£35: A day away from the city - will pay for one child from a Kids’ playground to go on an outing with their friends or siblings to places like the Sealife Centre in Brighton, Chessington World of Adventures or Woburn Safari Park.

£50: After school club - will pay for a place on an after-school club for one child, three days a week for one week at a Kids Playground in London.

£75: Away Day - will pay one play worker for a day which would allow four disabled children to attend one of Kids playgrounds.

£100: New Horizons - will give the gift of adventure.  With a Kids weekend activity break a disabled child could have the chance to try new activities such as climbing, abseiling and canoeing.

£100: It's Good To Talk - will help train families in Makaton, a form of sign language, to ensure that lack of communication will not hinder the child’s development.

£250: Pyjama Party - will pay for a disabled child with a stay at the Kids residential centre in Fareham, Hampshire.

£500: ABC - would help pay for a toddler to learn to write with the support of a Kids home worker who would provide a stimulating working and structured learning environment to meet their development needs.

£750: School’s Out - will pay for an After-School Club for 24 children, three nights a week for one week at a Kids’ Playground

£1,000: Give Us a Lift - will give two disabled children the chance to get to a Kids London adventure playground once a week for a year and have safe access to play and leisure activities.

£1,000: Beside the seaside - will pay for a group of 40 children from a Kids Playground in London to go on an outing with their friends and family to places such as Margate, the Sealife centre in Brighton or Woburn Safari Park.
