Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
I am organising this open art exhibition with the theme of remembrance and armistice in this Centenary year, to raise awareness and vital funds for the Royal British Legion in Chepstow. I have chosen The Royal British Legion in honour of our Grandad, a very proud ex Grenadier Guard who sadly passed away recently. When talking to me about his Grenadier days, he would often refer to himself as JQ54, which is where this fundraising event got its name.
This is an event that will hopefully involve as many people as possible. Here are some ways to get involved:
1. Paint a poppy on a pebble and be a part of our large community piece of artwork being revealed at the exhibition
2. Children can submit a poem or a poppy for our wall of remembrance
3. Knit or crochet a poppy for our curtain of remembrance
4. Visit the exhibition where we will have plenty of opportunities to donate including a raffle
5. Submit artwork for the exhibition - both amateur artists and professionals can enter so give it a go!
For all info please visit www.daffirose.com/JQ54artforall or email me at claire@daffirose.com or call me on 07951 491 941
The exhibition takes place from 9th November to 3rd December 2018 (Friday, Saturday and Sundays only) at The Greenman Backpackers and all week at various town centre businesses throughout Chepstow.
