Story
In September 2025, I have challenged myself to take on the Northumberland Coast Mighty Hike to help raise money for people living with cancer. I signed up for this when a dear friend was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer just before Christmas last year, and I couldn’t be with her to support her in person. She has had some amazing support during her treatment.
I’ll be walking in memory of my lovely friend Caroline, who passed away earlier this year after much bravery and determination during her cancer treatment. I’ll be carrying blue ribbons on my backpack for her.
I'd be so grateful if you could help me reach my £250 pledge, which can pay for Macmillan Nurse for one day. This could provide people living with cancer and their families essential medical, practical and emotional support. This is vital, critical work
There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
