Story
On 21 June 2017 eight golfers of questionable ability from top Edinburgh accountancy firm Johnston Smillie aim to raise at least £1,000 for the wonderful charity Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Support UK.
SMA is a genetic neuromuscular disease which affects the nerves responsible for muscle function.
Johnston Smillie is delighted to have selected Spinal Muscular Atrophy as its nominated charity for 2017/18. At Johnston Smillie we have a colleague whose son suffers from the condition. Under these circumstances this year's charity nomination was a no brainer.
Led by golfing pioneer Paul Wightman the eight bean counters will take on one of Scotland's most challenging courses, Royal Turnhouse.
This, however, is no ordinary round of golf as the weary contestants will have to set their alarms for just after midnight as the round will begin in the early hours of the morning.
The player bios and handicaps can be viewed in the photos section. Therefore when donating please have a guess at the combined total gross score and include it in your comment. Johnston Smillie may throw in a small prize for the closest guess.
Any donations for this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated.
