Skylarks is a parent led charity striving hard as it enters it's 15th year of providing support and information for children and young people aged 0-25 years with additional needs and disabilities. The whole family benefits because raising a child takes a community. It takes determination, effort, hope and belief to enable a child or a young person challenged with their specific need to thrive. Skylarks does lots for the youngsters which is all inclusive i.e. cranio sacral and music therapy, yoga, singing sessions, lows stress hair cuts, learning to ride a bike, karate, drama, cookery - pretty much everything that a mainstream child can access. Skylarks ensures that every youngster is given the opportunity. For parent carers we are a hub of info, support, workshops, advice clinics, a place to connect and share and feel unjudged and understood as here we all know what it's like being in their shoes. Skylarks reacts fast to what's missing and needed to help.
