We hope to raise enough money to help fund Jubilee Hall Trust’s programme of FREE supervised exercise sessions at Camden’s outdoor gyms. The gyms have been set up in the areas of the Borough where there are significant health inequalities.
As one participant said:
‘I am a woman in my 50s who is struggling with health and job issues; I suffer from chronic depression and have recently been left unemployed after 15 years. All these circumstances have been a heavy blow to me and I was in much need of something that will keep me motivated and healthy….The Jubilee Hall Trust and The Armoury had the wonderful idea of giving to the community with the fitness programme…our instructor’s sensitive encouragement, his professional attitude, his patience and person-centred approach made me feel valued and it has been an incredible health boost for me….It is not only about fitness, it is about community empowerment, mental and physical well being, teamwork, friendship and integral happiness! The programme’s success is evident and really appreciated by all of us and we would love to see it continue for the foreseeable future.’
