Event: London Marathon 2021
Running a marathon is an enormous personal achievement. Our London Marathon Golden Bond runners not only complete one of the most famous races in the world, but also raise funds to support some of the UK's most vulnerable children and young people.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am honoured to have been chosen to run the London marathon for Brathay Trust, and to keep the memory of Matt Campbell going,

he unfortunately passed away running for the same charity back in 2017. I met Matt after he had competed in master chef the professionals, I’m a chef and self confessed foodie, he took time to chat about the dishes he had cooked and what it was like to be involved in the competition, he was such a lovely guy taken from us to early.

Brathay trust work with a wide range of young people, often with fewer opportunities in life, including those managing the transition from living in care to independence, at risk of exploitation in unhealthy relationships, needing confidence to find work or training, or facing other challenges in their lives.
