Virgin London Marathon 2015 · 26 April 2015 ·

1 in 100 people have coeliac disease, yet only 36% are diagnosed. Coeliac UK empowers everyone affected, breaking down barriers, improving everyday life, offering trusted support and advancing research towards a cure. And we do it all so that one day, no one’s life will be limited by gluten.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Judi’s son Rhys was diagnosed with Coeliac disease when he was six years old. Since his diagnosis was made, the Coeliac Society have been invaluable with all their help, advice and information about living with the  lifelong autoimmune disease.

If the strict life long gluten free diet is not stuck to, side effects include infertility and cancer. So we are keen to spread awareness and help generations to come as it is hereditary.

We would like to raise as much money for Coeliac UK as possible. We would feel so proud to complete the marathon and raise loads of money for a cause close to our hearts. Our boys Rhys and William have run together in many a race and we thought it was time to dig out our running shoes and follow in their footsteps - please help us raise as much for Coeliac UK as you can!
