What better time than half way between the ages of 50 and 60 to start trying to run a little more seriously! I'm trying to ignore the joint pains and the foot pains and plod on---well if my friends and colleagues can do the Iron man and swim the channel, its the least I should try to do!! 

And after 21 years at the Children's Hospital, seeing the amazing things that can be achieved with the help of money raised through the Grand Appeal, it's the obvious charity for me to choose right now.
