Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Update:
By the end of 2011, the Jam Jar Army had raised more than £12,868 on behalf of Hospice Care North Northumberland. This page was part of that fundraising effort.
Original statement:
This year I resolved to do a good deed a day. It's harder than I thought it would be, but one thing I figured I should do was raise some money for charity. HospiceCare North Northumberland needs to bring in more than £250,000 a year to keep going. There may well be more sheep than people in Northumberland, so I can't begin to think how the Hospice manages to raise those funds year after year. Maybe I can't make that much of a difference, but I figure I've got a year to try. Initially I wanted to raise £500 then I had the idea for the Jam Jar Army. Then the Northumberland Gazette got involved so now we are trying to raise £10,000. Check out the Jam Jar Army team page here and see what you think.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
If you can help, please do it now and join the Jam Jar Army before I have to abseil down something, because I've done that once and I really didn't like it.
best wishes,
Judith
