Blenheim Palace Triathlon 2021 · 11 September 2021 to 12 September 2021 ·
This year I have set myself a real challenge with 3 events ahead of me. I have never done anything like this before and only became a ‘sporty person’ about 6 years ago. I like pushing myself, but these challenges are huge for me as I am currently only able to run about 1km before I feel like giving up.
First event takes place on the 11th of July where I will be taking part in Bike Oxford – an event where I will be cycling the longest route, a total of 80miles (123km), in Oxfordshire.
Secondly, I will be taking part in the London Triathlon on the 7th of August. This will be my first triathlon and I will be participating in the ‘Super Sprint’ which is a 400m swim, a 10km bike ride, followed by a 2.5k run.
Finally, on the 12th of September I will be competing in the Blenheim Triathlon Sprint which will be a 750m swim, a 19.8km bike ride, and a 5.4km run.
For all three events I will be raising money for a fantastic charity called Hope & Vision; Hope & Vision was set up by Tony Attwood who, after going through a number of difficult life experiences himself, decided to help those leaving prison pursue a better life by helping them rehabilitate and re-join the community. Hope & Vision provides supported community living to people that have demonstrated progress and willingness to change and I really admire the work they are doing.
Any donation that you are able to offer will contribute to the work Tony and his team are doing at Hope & Vision, and I know that they will be really grateful for any donation you are able to make, big or small.
