Shaw Trust is a leading employment charity. We support young people to realise their potential, we help people find and keep meaningful jobs, we provide education and training for those starting out and those looking to progress in their jobs, and we improve community health and wellbeing.

Story

Every Year I undertake a new personal challenge and this year is no different. In addition to already completing a 5 day trek sledding with husky dogs in the Arctic Circle, I am now going to compete in the Great North Run in September.
No mean feat when I have a condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy - a progressive muscle wasting disorder.

I also want to be the first British disabled person to tackle the 8-Day Dog sledding Expedition in the Arctic Circle in 2004. This unique project is to raise awareness and funds for the Disabled Living Foundation - to assist vital services such as their National Helpline.

Help me raise these funds and achieve my goal by sponsoring me online.

It's the most efficient way for me to raise funds for my charity. If you are a UK taxpayer your donation will be increased by almost a third at no cost to you.

Both myself and the DLF really appreciate your donation. Any amount will make a difference but please try to give generously!

Many thanks.

Judy Woolfenden.
