Jules Climbs Mt. Olympus ~ Climb for a Cause Fundraising Page

Climbing · 7 August 2023
This coming August, I will be climbing Mount Olympus in Olympic National Park through Climb for a Cause! With the guidance of Washington's National Park Fund (WNPF), these funds will support priority projects in Washington’s national parks.
Olympic national park is home to eight Native tribes, wild rivers, old growth forests, endemic species, and biodiversity hot spots. It’s hard for me to even begin to describe what this place means to me. This land has shaped who I am and how I see my place within the world while encapsulating the truest feeling of home. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the magnificence of this place for generations to come.
The more people that know about Washington's National Park Fund, the greater their impact, so please spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you for your generosity, it means so much!
Land Acknowledgement: Since time immemorial, the Hoh, Jamestown S'Klallam, Elwha Klallam, Makah, Port Gamble S'Klallam, Quileute, Quinault and Skokomish tribes have stewarded the land that is now designated as a national park. I am working to understand what it means to love a land that was never rightfully mine. In preparation for this climb and as part of the work of my lifetime, I will be taking time to learn as much of the full history of the Olympus and Hoh River Valley area as possible. Through this research, I will be working on ways to support ongoing Indigenous resilience and resurgence and sharing what I learn along the way.
