I am running the Great North run in memory of my lovely Dad. 

He had Prostate Cancer. I now know that nothing can prepare you for the absolute fear, panic and desperation each hospital visit brings. 

When it was becoming clear Dad was losing his fight he was admitted to St Cuthbert's Hospice. This place is amazing. The care my Dad received was out of this world. The compassion from the doctors and nurses was fantastic. When my Dad left us he was at peace and not in pain. I am running in his memory to say thank you to the nurses and to help raise money for this vital service. 

The hospice needs in excess of two million a year to stay open and relies on charitable donations. They do not charge families who need them. Please sponsor me to help fund this amazing place and help other families through the worst days of their lives.
