We Provide Welfare and Education Grants to Members of the acting profession

Story

Thanks for visiting my Just giving page.  Lots of my friends and colleagues work in the arts industry, onstage and backstage.  Singers, actors, dancers....they have all been hit by being freelance and don’t qualify  for Covid support from the Government for lost income.  We don’t all want to retrain!  We have spent years honing a discipline we are passionate about.  And where does the public turn to in times of isolation and crisis ?  The entertainers!  To raise their spirits and take their minds off the crummy year that 2020 has been.  So as a minor member of that community (thankfully with other family support) I wanted to raise some money for those who are less fortunate.  The arts is a huge generator of income for the UK but not all our colleagues are being valued in the same way.  If you’ve enjoyed any of my charity gigs this year then please donate the price of a store bought coffee or a round of pub drinks to support the people who want to entertain you in 2021 and beyond!
