In September 2021 I fell from my horse, I knew I needed help as soon as I landed as the pain was intense. 

My daughter called 999 who alerted the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. They arrived at the rural location within 15mins and straight away administered pain relief, made me feel calm and took me off to the GWH in Swindon.  I was in hospital and scanned before a road ambulance would have even reached my location.

Scans revealed I broke 3 transverse vertebrae. I cannot thank the crew enough for everything they did for me that evening.

It will be 7 months post accident when I run the Bath Half, I’m very  lucky to walking after the accident so to cross that finish line in May will be an amazing achievement and it’s all down to Wiltshire Air Ambulance for getting to me so quickly and ensuring I got to hospital to receive the treatment I needed
