My pal and I were both expecting our 2nd babies.  But when I was on my way to the hospital in labour, Nicola was at her 3 week old baby Theo's funeral.  The unfairness of it all could not have been more amplified. The raw painful journey of those who have lost their little ones is devastating.  However, I have watched Nicola turn that heartache and despair into something positive.  Through SANDS she now improves support for others who experience this kind of loss.  By climbing Kilimanjaro in memory of Theo I hope donations will help to progress the important work of SANDS.
