The Glacier Trust is a UK charity that enables climate change adaptation in Nepal.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Nine students, a colleague and myself will be visiting Deusa, Nepal this year to observe first hand how communities are adapting to climate change. To show our support we plan to swim the equivalent height of Everest and stair climb the height of Everest between now and Christmas.  That is swimming 8848metres and running up enough stairs to equal 8848m. We are raising funds for The Glacier Trust (TGT). TGT works with vulnerable rural communities in Nepal enabling them to adapt to the impacts of climate change. GSIS visited TGT's projects in Deusa last year and are looking forward to going back. The projects are well managed and funds raised will feed directly to the communities that need support the most.  Please do take the time to find out more by going to the TGT website (http://theglaciertrust.org).
