Earlier in the year, a gorgeous little girl who I teach at the school where I work was diagnosed with relapsed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL).  Alice was first diagnosed with ALL at the age of 2 and after completing her treatment in January 2017 had been off treatment
for 3 years. The relapse is a late one and has come as a huge shock to all of Alice’s family, friends and us at school.

Sadly, this is going to be a very long journey for Alice and all those around her and, quite frankly, it has hit us all hard. 

Fortunately CLIC Sargent are here to help.   They are a charity who support families of children dealing with leukaemia and cancer. In
addition, they will help support the children in my class  (friends of hers), and help with any questions or concerns they might have. Alice will lose her hair and her appearance will change due to the strong steroids and I am mindful of the impact this may have on the children and the questions they may have.  CLIC will also help support me, as her teacher, to help support her class friends, family and understand
the journey ahead if more detail. 

Therefore, it make sense to me that I raise vital finds for CLIC Sargent.  A charity that I now truly understand the importance of the work they do.   Please, please donate what you can so that Alice and her family, can continue to receive specialist support that is vital for her recovery.
