Story

My journey started now 6 and a half years ago when I woke up one night to go to work with toothache, Nothing unusual there I thought just another routine trip to the dentist. How wrong I was. I had some treatment however the pain never stopped. It was like an electric shock in my teeth that I thought they would explode, this pain just never stopped, More trips to the dentist, then to maxi facial at Hospital then pain Management at my local hospital, Nothing was working, I was told I had trigeminal neuralgia, I spent a week in HDU at Canterbury to try a procedure that should give me at least 8 months of being pain free, It lasted 2 weeks. For 4 years I lived with constant pain, I lost my house and my then Job and my sanity, The pain was unbearable, My now wife Annette pushed and pushed for my to be seen by a neurologist which i got to see in January of 2019, I was diagnosed with SUNCT, I had a decompressed vessel wrapped around a nerve on the side of my brain, I went in for brain surgery in the October, the surgeon had only done 10 of the operations before as this was a relatively new operation, only 50 other cases were being treated on the same illness, Not much is known about the condition, I am now completely pain free, So now I feel is the time to give something back for having my life back.

So I am embarking on a 33 mile walk along the Jurassic path in a day from Weymouth to Studland Poole. It is one of the more challenging trails. The total height climbed has been calculated to be 114931ft(35031m), almost 4 times the height of Mount Everest !!
