Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

You may know that in May 2016, I had a minor Heart attack whilst working a night shift. This came as a bit of a shock to me as, although I had put some weight on over the years, I thought I was fairly fit and, too young (yes at 52) to suffer a heart attack.

Having had a "stent" fitted and with the help of the nurses from the BHF, I have made a full recovery and I would like to show my gratitude by raising funds for the BHF and the wonderful work they do.

So, I have decided to improve my fitness and, with the help of a PT at the Gym I have recently joined (with the doctors permission), I am looking to go from Flab to Abs by the end of March 2018. I have never had a six pack to show off so, I'm looking to get a set to be proud of by my 35th Wedding anniversary on 26th March 2018.

I have set a target of £550 to raise by then, I feel this is a reasonable target to aim for and, I hope that, with your support and help I will smash that target by then. Please feel free to give what you feel you can afford.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you once again for your support and I will keep you updated on my progress, if you can cope with the photos :-)

Kind regards

Julian
