Hello my name is Julian French aka The Judge, I shall be running The Brigthon Marathon on 18th April 2010 in aid of a charity who I have done lots of fundraising for. This charity is the only childrens hospice in and do a fantastic job, it is Chestnut Tree House.

Here's my story, 4 years ago at a massive 21 stone (as you can see from my picture, thats me with the hat on), I was probably heading for an early grave, leading a very unhealthy lifestyle, not feeling in Tip Top shape. I decided enough was enough and began the massive task of reducing The Big Boppa down to this waife like It has taken time dedication and there is no quick fix to losing the weight, but I have done and in the process probably put another 30 years on my life. When your down there it's a massive task to get yourelf out it, but let me assure you and inspire you it can be done and I am the proof. Apart from having my kids and my partner Val in my life, this is the best thing I have ever done in my life, what really inspired me to change my life was the fact that at the age of just 40 I lost someone very special to me, my friend Dee.  was diagnosed with cancer and sadly, after a brave battle eventually passed away. This put life into perspective for me and taught me a very valuable lesson that life is too short, so in her memory I changed my life, my attitude towards it and began to run and since then I have just carried on running, running and running and to help people that who perhaps like me are not fortunate enough to run a Marathon I'll do it for charity to try to make their lives a little easier.  Remember if I can inspire you I will and life is not a dress rehearsal.
