Those of you that know me, know I am a keen runner and that I've completed a few marathons in the past. I have wanted to run Berlin for many years and have been fortunate enough to be able to secure a start place through Breast Cancer Now. 

Running in Berlin and running for a cancer charity was a very deliberate chouse. In my professional life, I am running a company (www.simrisbiologics.com) based in Berlin that is developing new compounds from cyanobacteria to be used to target and kill cancer cells without the side effects frequently experienced from chemotherapy. Running in Berlin to raise money for Breast Cancer Now for me is therefore the ideal way to continue to try to make a difference to the lives of those unfortunate enough to have cancer.

As there are only 17 days left until the race (I secured a last minute start place) I have set a goal of €1,500 but just as I would like to smash by time goal for the race, I would like to smash this goal too and ideally would like to raise €5,000. Every donation, small or large, is deeply appreciated and will help me push the through the pain of the last 10k.
