Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

On April 6th, I’ll be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research, a cause that means the world to me.

I’m originally from Germany, and in June 2006, I lost my grandma to a brain tumour. She was only 67 years old. She had been diagnosed just six months earlier, and as a child, I struggled to understand how quickly everything changed. What I do know is that her tumour was genetic, and this has stayed with me ever since.

Brain tumours remain one of the deadliest forms of cancer, yet research into them is underfunded. By running this race, I want to honour my grandma’s memory and help fund vital research, not just to improve treatments, but to find a cure and prevent more families from going through the same pain.

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. If you can, please support my run and help fund the fight against brain tumours.

Thank you for your support!
