With the pressures caused by COVID, Addenbrooke's need help to deliver the quickest, safest surgery possible. Robot-assisted surgery helps patients to go home within days after surgery and recover far more quickly, with fewer long-term side effects.

Story

I work in the IT Training Team at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

Addenbrooke's' surgeons are brilliant, but robot-assisted surgery is less invasive and gets patients home significantly even quicker.

It costs approximately £1,000 per patient to provide robot-assisted surgery. That's why I'm taking part in Addenbrooke's 1000 challenge.

(I cant post a link here, so just search Youtube for 'Julian Berry ACT' to see my video about why I am supporting this charity)

I'm running 1,000 miles in 2022, with a few challenging events thrown in to make it even more interesting! See my progress and what events I have coming up, in my updates below!

If you are able to help, your gift will help empower the amazing clinicians to provide lifesaving and life changing surgery across six areas of Addenbrooke's Hospital, enabling over 1,500 patients (each year) to receive their care, and be back home again with less pain and discomfort as quickly as possible.

Thank you.
