6 and half years ago my little girl Hollie was rushed to Great Ormond Street Hospital after nearly dieing at birth and spending a month in intensive care and then suffering a further cardiac arrest and heamoraged lungs at 5 weeks. We were told that our beautiful baby girl was very unlikely to survive the night!

 

Thanks to the fantastic staff at GOSH not only did our wonderful Hollie survive but my husband and I manage to cope with the most traumatic time of our lives.

 

Hollie has however, been left with Chronic Renal Failure and will have to have a kidney transplant within the next few years. Again Great Ormond Street are taking care of our little girl and unreservedly dealing with our concerns and questions.

 

Hollie currently visits Great Ormond Street Hospital every four months and is kept as healthy and well as her condition dictates because of the amazing staff at the hospital. The medication and treatments they perscribe keep Hollie alive. The advice and emotional support they give us as Hollie's family keep us sane (well sane-ish) and able to cope with the fact that our daughter has a life threatening illness.

 

This most amazing hospital needs funds to carry on the goundbraking work that they do (maybe one day they will have a cure for Hollie). Please help to raise just a little towards the millions that they need every year.

 

I am getting the Great Ormond Street logo tattoed on my wrist. Please sponsor me to do this. It is nothing compared to what Hollie has been through or what she still has to face but it will smart a bit.
