I am going to walk the Portuguese Way or Camino Portugues, to honour two precious friends who have battled with cancer over these last two years. I also want to celebrate my brothers recent recovery from his surgery 

This Camino, will take a month to walk. I have never walked this far and it will be a real challenge for me.  I will not be on my own, but will be walking with a close friend. We will start out  on August the 16th and  end on the 13th of September, averaging 20 miles a day. 

This is one of the  most important  pilgrim routes and has a tremendous history. It crosses some of the most beautiful parts of North Portugal and South Galicia  taking in great cities like Lisbon, Porto and Pontevedra.
