Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
It is now nearly 15 years since my Dad, Ian, died. My experience at that time and that of my family, prompted me to want to improve the support given to other families when someone they love is reaching the end of their lives.
For the last 10 years I have been volunteering my time on the board of trustees and intermittently going even more out of my comfort zone in a major fund raise, notably the skydive several years ago (note - this amazing opportunity is now available for you dare devils reading this. Please refer to their website).
Beaumond House is a small charity with a huge heart and supports over 600 people every year with Care at home, inpatient respite care and symptom control, day therapies including complementary therapy, care co-ordination, welfare rights and bereavement support. We could have done with their blanket of love when Dad was ill.
They need over £750,000 per year in donations. The rest (30%) comes from the NHS. Please give generously; you have only to look at some of the stories on their website to realise a little of the impact they have.
