PAWS faces closure as our landlord has given us 6 month's notice to vacate our current site. The race is on to find somewhere suitable to move to, hopefully not too far away.

Story

Starting on Saturday, 5th March, Carole and I will be walking along the Calderdale Way for approximately 50 miles.  We have already completed the first 10 miles but will be walking on 5th, 6th, 12th and 14 March to complete the other 40 miles.  Carole is my neice and we will be joined by Lola the Dalmation when the weather is good enough (Lola is 10 now and prefers to do shorter distances).

Jill Hagenbroch will also be joining the walk on the first weekend with Mally one of the PAWS' dogs.

All our efforts throughout inclement weather and rough terrain will be so we can raise as much money as possible to help PAWS move from its' current location as notice to vacate has been given by the landlord.

I am one of the Trustees for this charity which is very close to my heart and I want to do all I can to ensure it continues to help rescue, rehabilitate and rehome cats and dogs in the area.

About the charity

PAWS is dedicated to helping animals in need around the Pennine towns of Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. We operate a no kill policy. We rescue and rehome animals and care for those waiting for a home. We rely on volunteers and donations to fund our work and hold regular fundraising events.
